Create a Product

To create a product:

1. Click the Content tab on the left.
2. Click the Product link.
3. Fill in the Product form:
   
   1. Add a product name.
   2. Add a product description
      • Use any of the buttons on this box to make the description look pleasing.
      • To check for spelling errors use the spellchecker which is the last button.
      • To add images please use the third-to-last button called the iBrowser.
      • To see more of the page use the second-to-last button for a full screen version.
      • Use the product description box to help with SEO
      • If you know how to use HTML use the HTML button (NB You can destroy a page using this button)
   3. Choose a category from the list
   4. Click browse and find an image on you computer to upload to the server for the product image
   5. Most of the time the Product will only have one modal, type in the number/name here (more can be added later).
   6. List price and Sell price are usually the same (list price is not shown to the customer) cost price is what you paid for it and is never shown to the customer.
   7. Tick "Product and its derivatives are shippable" so they can be delivered and have the delivery price added.
   8. If you are delivering by weight or Dimensions (or a mix) then fill these in.
   9. Package quantity is how many the customer gets at the Sell price (usually 1).
   10. Default quantity to add to cart is the amount added to the basket when the customer clicks "Add to Basket". So this is multiplied by the Sell price.
   11. List position is where on a list this product will appear. Usually leave this as 0 as lists will be alphabetical or by price. The lower the number the higher up the list (it weighs less).
   12. Click Attached image and choose an image from the pull-down list. If up can find one click browse and find an image on you computer to upload to the server for the product image. Use the same image as from step 'd' above for the best results.
   13. The image title will be shown when the image is clicked on the product page, for best results use the product name here
   14. Shipping Settings can be left as the "Store default".
   15. Comment settings should be set to Read/Write if you want your customers to be able to comment on this product, if you want the customers to not comment on this product select "Disabled". If you select read only then any comments that have been made will still be able to be read, but no more comments can be made. To find out more see the Comment Help page.
   16. Menu Settings is to add the product to the header or footer navigation, usually this will be left. To find out more see the Top and Bottom navigation Help page.

Edit a Product

To edit a product:

1. Go to the product you wish to edit.
2. Click the edit tab at the top.
3. Change product details in any way you wish (see above for more information)
4. Scroll to the bottom and click the Submit button to save you new settings.

Delete a Product

To delete a product:

1. Go to the product you wish to delete
2. Click the edit tab at the top
3. Scroll to the bottom and click the Delete button
4. Click Delete if you are sure (cancel to go back)

N.B. This cannot be undone, once it is gone it is gone for good.

Product Attributes

Product Attributes are any extra selections a customer can make to a product to make and can make the product more or less expencive e.g. choose a colour, gift wrapping, etc.
